ABOUT CHEF DANNY FOX-BAKER
Although Danny loved making his own french fries and pizzas as a child, he hadn’t fully realized his passion for the kitchen until he found himself cooking and planning menus for his ninety-odd roommates at his college co-op. Danny would develop himself professionally after college in various restaurants and go on to seek a formal culinary education.
Danny graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Parke, New York in January 2003 and promptly returned to Austin where it was much warmer. He would continue developing his abilities locally at Jeffrey’s, Cipollina, The Salt Lick, and Whole Foods Market. In 2004, Danny fulfilled his dream of living in vibrant Barcelona Spain while working as a chef at the fashionable vegetarian restaurant ‘Organic’.
Although Danny prefers to think of himself well rounded in terms of the world’s cuisines, he does hold a fondness for Nuevo Latino and Mediterranean flavors. He is blessed with a home that is a 1.5 minute walk from the 2 Dine 4 kitchen where he cares for his ducks, chickens and two pet pigs. Danny has a parallel career in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and enjoys gardening, modern history and travel.
